Events to Take With You at The Institute for Culinary Education
Some of the most memorable events are the ones you can take home. The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) has an extensive array of cooking classes to broaden your gastronomic expertise.
At ICE, professional chefs (and yes, even celebrity chefs) will don an apron and teach you skills and recipes that can be duplicated at home. Hands on event options at ICE include Private Wine Beer and Mixology Classes, Steakhouses Events, Pizza Events, Celebrity Chef Events, and Private Dining Events.
►Celebrity Chef Events
Rub elbows in the kitchen with some of the most notable chefs around including Tom Colicchio (Colicchio and Sons, Craft), Dave Lieberman (Food Network Host), and Alex Gaurneschelli (Butter) (to name a few).
►Private Wine, Beer and Mixology Classes
This is not your “run of the mill” tasting. ICE offers one of the most comprehensive classes in Beer, Wine, and Mixology. The beer tasting is a particularly notable option as the class includes a sizable array of brews from local NY microbreweries.
Believe it or not, even the biggest “foodies” around cannot differentiate between a porterhouse and a NY Strip. In these classes, learn about the different cuts of meat. ICE offers sessions that focus on four different steakhouse themes including: American, French, Italian, and Asian.
Make your own pizza with the pros at ICE. Learn from start to finish how to produce the perfect pie from tossing the dough, to crisping the crust.
For more traditional events, ICE's dining room options can accommodate from 16 to 100 guests for private receptions. For culinary classes, ICE can host events for 12-90. Their largest kitchen can accommodate up to 40 guests.
